It’s always best to book to secure a pitch. Weekends and holidays can get booked up pretty quick. Should you wish to book on the day you plan to arrive then please call us to check availability as you cannot do this online.
Throughout the season you are mostly able to book one night stays with us. During peak weekend and bank holidays there will be a minimum of 2 or 3 night stays.
We do indeed! Camping is just not the same without a campfire. Only firepits and wood rented and bought from us must be used.
Yes, you can! If it’s a disposable one or one that’s close to the ground please use the bricks provided to protect the grass.
There is a maximum of 4 adults per pitch, we do not have a limit for children.
Yes, we do allow group bookings and want to continue to be able to offer this. Groups must be courteous of other campers and realise that even a large group being quiet can still be loud and the noise can travel. A £10 per pitch refundable deposit is required. This will be refunded at checkout providing your group has not caused disturbances resulting in complaints by other campers.
Yes, we only ask that you inform us of any pets prior to moving in and seek permission if you look to get more pets.
We allow visitors in the day only and must check in with reception first. There may be a fee per person depending on the length of their stay, also their vehicle will need to be paid for to go in the carpark.
Yes, we do allow friendly dogs onsite, but they must always remain on a lead at all times. We have designated off the lead areas for guests to use. Of course, in all areas their mess must be cleaned up!
You are permitted to play music outside our quite time hours, but you will still need to be considerate of the type of music you are playing and the volume level.
Unfortunately not, there is a venue on site which we may sometimes hold events in that campers are invited to but these are rare and will be well advertised if so. We sell local beers and ales in our shop, and you’re welcome to get a food delivery to the site if you wish to not venture off. The Kart Track also has a café that is generally open on weekends for breakfast and lunches.
Yes, we do, we have lots of forgotten items in our shop along with confectionary items, local beers, wines, pocket money toys, ice and ice creams, hot drinks, cold refreshments, a small selection of food items and frozen butchers’ meat.
Check out our ‘What’s in the area’ page for local attractions and points of interest.

Absolutely, if its dark we would require you to leave your car in the carpark overnight as we do not permit vehicles on the field past dusk. If its very late please be courteous of other campers regarding noise making your way back.
The amp is 16amp and you will need a circuit breaker RCD, they are not the 3 pin plug we have at home. Please make sure you are bringing the correct lead as extensions that include the domestic 3 pin plugs are not suited and are dangerous. We do have leads to rent should you forget one.
You are not permitted to charge your car on your pitch, the hook ups are only 16 amp and it burns them out quickly. We unfortunately do not currently have anywhere on site to charge electric cars.
We will be introducing lockers with charging points in for 2023 season. You can rent a locker for ½ or full days.
We do! Located in the washing up hut is a fridge freezer that’s available to use for campers. Items must have your pitch number and check out date clearly written on them. Please be considerate of other guests, its not fair on others to put bags of shopping in.
We do offer Free Wi-Fi but it unfortunately doesn’t reach all pitches.
Unfortunately, this is not a service we offer.
Depending on when you cancel your booking would depend on the amount you would be refunded. Please see our cancellation policy for more information.
If you have something you would like to complain about, please do let us know while you are onsite as we will try to resolve this for you. You can speak to any of our wardens who may be able to help or alternatively they will log your complaint and raise it with a manager. If you would like to email at first instance, please do so with the details of your complaint and contact information to heron@heronspark.com, someone will get back to you promptly.
